One more time, you and I must confront the interface, or turning point,
between the Procurement Man and the Procurement Universe.
In this sprawling, unwieldy, extra-temporal assemblage of words and
pictures, we find that critical corner now turning about the legendary publication, Lampclouding; its history; its legacy; its archives both celebrated and obscure.
In my capacity as one-man editorial board and keeper of the flame, I have
decided to give you more than just an overview or “best-of:” I have decided to
present the entirety of Lampclouding, not only through examples of its material
presence, but in the thought behind it; in the personalities associated with it; in the
universe from which it was wrought. Even had Lampclouding really existed, the extent of its manifestations would be too great, too discursive, too absurd, to have been more than one man’s dreaming take on his own life’s narrative. We know this because life is short and there is no other.
